Ali Tareen Bids Emotional Farewell to Multan Sultans

Ali Tareen leaves Multan Sultans Ali Tareen Khan has officially left his position as owner of Multan Sultans bringing to an end an era of all sorts for the PSL franchise.Ali confirmed his leaving in a message on Twitter.

Expressing his feelings in an emotional message posted on X, Tareen said the team and its fans took a major place in his life. He added that it was honor for him to represent South Punjab with Multan Sultans.

Tareen thanked the supporters for supporting them through thick and thin. He would always remind players and management that they were the face of a region characterised by strength, resilience and hard work.

He also remembered his late uncle Alamgir Tareen stating that the team mattered to him a lot as well. Sultans were pride and identity: Ali He maintained that for the people of South Punjab, Sultans represented pride and identity.

Despite financial trouble, Tareen added that he never considered leaving the team. “The Sultans have always represented much more to me than mere numbers,” he wrote, and that he always valued integrity and principle over being popular.Announcing his departure, he said he won’t be able to remain if that means betraying those values.

Tareen asked the fans to keep backing the team despite the new ownership. “This team has always been bigger than its owner. It is your and South Punjab’s right,” he added.

He concluded his mail with a vow that as a supporter, he will stay in touch with the team.“Whoever is at the helm next, please work for him with that same passion. I will be up there in the stands cheering with you.”
