Punjab Launches Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar: First 2,000 Families Get Free Plots

Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar The Punjab Government has introduced initiative and the first balloting for 2000 (free of cost) residential plots to be awarded as part of it has already been made.

Some of the winners were called by none other than Sardar Raza, the chief minister’s spokesman), and some she contacted herself – like Rukhsana Bibi from Attock and Mero Mai with her husband Ramesh Lal from Yazman congratulating them for finally getting their own piece of land.

Easy Loan of Rs. 1.5 Million for House Constructs!

Every selected family will receive:

  • Rs. 1.5 million construction loan
  • Repayable over 9 years
  • Monthly at Rs. 14,000 retrocession only

Where the 2,000 Plots Were Divided

Housing Minister Bilal Yasin said plots had been allotted in 23 schemes of 19 districts:

  • Jhelum – 730 plots (highest)
  • Kasur – 388
  • Faisalabad – 257
  • Lodhran – 219
  • Okara – 130
  • Layyah – 55
  • Bhakkar – 52
  • Sahiwal – 33
  • Sargodha – 25

Minor allotments were also made in Khushab, Bahawalnagar, Mandi Bahauddin, Rajanpur, Attock, Gujrat, Bahawalpur Jhang and Vehari Chiniot.
